The 28mm Troughers were specifically designed for procedures on the chamber floor or just beyond such as troughing for the MB2 canal of maxillary molars, troughing for the middle mesial canal of mandibular molars or to "brush out" the isthmus between the MB & ML canals of mandibular molars. 28mm Troughers are also useful where limited inter-arch space precludes the use of the Shallow or 34mm Troughers.
